I am Cheryl Jansen and I have worked in the social services and mental health fields for over 15-years as an advocate and therapist.
I received my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach and a Masters in Counseling from the University of Phoenix.
I have extensive experience work with children, teens, and adults providing individual, couples, group, and family therapy to those that are dealing with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, PTSD, grief, divorce, identity issues, parenting, workplace challenges, and many other social and emotional challenges.
The modalities that I use frequently are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Theory, Solution-Focused Therapy, Bowen Family Theory, Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing and Person-Centered Therapy.
